Eric is a strategic marketer with 20 years’ experience delivering successful global programs, partnerships and campaigns for multinationals in music and consumer electronics.

Eric’s life revolves around music, from the moment he put his hands on a piano at the age of four to raising my kids in the most eclectic music environment possible today.

Previous roles include Head of Music at BlackBerry and Head of Brand Activation at Sonos.

Eric now helps developing artists to improve their understanding of the music industry via Bridge The Gap MGMT, an artist management and label services business.

Name: Olivia Hobbs


Founder @ Blackstar

Olivia founded Blackstar in 2018 to bring quality service & support to the changing landscape of the industry. Blackstar has the honour of working with a wide range of big-hitting artists from legends like Outkast, Def Leppard & Rage Against the Machine through to, Rag N Bone Man, Charli XCX, The War On Drugs and Years & Years who have come through the company’s shipping container complex in Brixton for support from Blackstar’s all-star team. 

She has previously worked in senior marketing & digital roles in the major label sector for some of the biggest artists in the world, including favourites Nine Inch Nails, Kae Tempest & Haim, as well as cutting her teeth in artist & producer management which she has a continued passion for.

Her role now oversees team members & projects internationally working across campaign management, social media, digital marketing & creative commissioning alongside continuing to manage, currently representing critically acclaimed Bristol-based visual noise outfit, Scalping, and Dewey. 

Name: Tom Slabb


Job: Associate Director for Social Media @ Dawbell

Tom is an award winning social content and digital marketing specialist. He has worked predominantly in music at Atlantic Records (Warner Music Group) and Columbia Records (Sony Music Entertainment), working on digital campaigns for some of the biggest artists in the world including Calvin Harris, Childish Gambino, Khalid, Kygo, The Streets and Plan B.

Last year he joined DawBell as Associate Director for Social Media and in September headed up the social team for the comeback of ABBA, with the announcement of ‘ABBA Voyage’, the revolutionary concert residency which starts in May this year.

Quote as to why you feel mentoring is vital:-

As a mentor you want to inspire, educate and provide a foot in the door for your mentee to burst through. As mentors we don’t know everything, but the chances are that over our years of working in the music industry, we know the right people and we can help build those bridges, make those connections and give every opportunity to those who will be the future of this business…and probably my boss one day!

Job: Founder and Director @ F That

Matt is the founder and director of London-based digital agency F That. F That produces digital content and has worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, BTS, Foo Fighters, Muse, The Rolling Stones amongst others. Matt has worked in the music industry for over 10 years in various roles across artist management, agencies and a record label.
