ESTA RAE

Expertise: Event producer and creative manager @ AIM/ No Limit Management

Esta Rae is the senior events manager at The Association Of Independent Music. Alongside this, she runs her freelance event company, No Limit Management, specialising in event curation and talent management, Working closely with CEO Posty, on events such as the GRM Gala and Rated Awards. She is listed as one of the top 50 neurodivergent women in the UK (she has dyslexia and dyspraxia) and was recently inducted to the 2023 women in music roll of honour for her game changing efforts in the industry. Esta works with both major and independent labels on artist campaigns, brand activations, producing festivals and events with companies like Spotify, PPL, Vevo, BBC Radio 1Xtra, Since 93, Amazon Music and more. She produced the 2022 and 2023 AIM Awards at the Camden Roundhouse, The 50 Years Of Hip Hop segment supported by BBC Radio 1Xtra at the 2023 AIM awards and is known for event production for artists such as Giggs, steel banglez and more

SHANE DEROZARIO 

Expertise: Founder / CEO @ MiZermillion Entertainment

Shane began his music management journey early 2011. Inspired by Bird man / Lil Wayne’s Cash Money / Young Money movement, Shane decided to start his own empire. Founder and CEO of MizerMillion Entertainment / Records (pronounced MizzerMillion) Shane’s ambition is to guide, protect, motivate and inspire the next generation of creative stars. Shane has been behind some of the UKs best talents, and has worked with the likes of J Hus, Dave, Stormzy, K Trap, Krept and Konan, AJ Tracey, Aitch, MoStack,  Bugzy Malone, Russ Millions plus many more. Shane was nominated by Music Business Worldwide for A&R of the Year 2017 (Hip Hop/Grime) and 2019 Artist and manager of the year awards. In 2020 (Covid) Shane Co-founded Dream Life Records, a major label under the Sony Music Entertainment umbrella. Singing and working with international acts and their management teams. Dream Life were nominated for best label at the 2021 YMB awards.

Sharlene’s had a 20 year career in the Creative industries, currently as Publisher Relationship Manager at PRS For Music. Her journey began  with work experience at Peoplesound.com and culminated in a BA honours in Music & Media Business Management. She’s thrived in pivotal roles across metadata management, royalties, and data analytics at Music Week, Warner, PPL Music, and Penguin Random House. Sharlene’s talents extend beyond her corporate success—she’s a trained singer/songwriter, savvy business consultant, mental health ambassador, and an impassioned vegan foodie.

SHEENA LADWA

Expertise: Co Founder of Ultimate Artist/ Artist Manager

Sheena Ladwa, An Artist Manager, Entrepreneur and Author, was raised in a household steeped in musical heritage, pulsating with the rhythms of Bollywood due to her father’s prominence as a singer. Embracing her musical roots, Sheena evolved into a professional singer-songwriter, while simultaneously delving into the realm of media strategy. Her journey as an artist ran parallel to her role as a media strategist at the esteemed agency Publicis, where she witnessed the convergence of her two passions. She realised the significance of brand strategy not just for corporations but also for artists seeking to thrive in the competitive music industry. KENNY BARBER

Expertise: Relationship Manager for Black Music @  PRS for Music

Kenny’s role sees him supporting and promoting many high-profile songwriters, producers, their representatives, and music publishers. Through his attendance at numerous music industry events, he is responsible for raising a better awareness and understanding around PRS and MCPS, at the same time highlighting some of the ways in which music creators can generate an income whilst developing their career. With a background as a singer-songwriter signed to Sony ATV, Kenny is also Managing Director of Sonitus Music Group, where he oversees R&B sensation Bellah and a talented tour management roster including Nippa, Ragz Originale, Marie Dahlstrom and Tay Iwar.

LEO O’BRIEN

Job: Member Development Manager @ PPL

Leo works for PPL, the music licensing company that collects and distributes royalties for performers and record companies when their recorded music is broadcast on TV and radio or played in public.  Key responsibilities are to identify the future high earning performers and ensure their income from UK and international airplay is maximised and to build relationships with wider industry.

NAMALI KWATEN 

Expertise: Producer/ Blue Lab Beats / MD of Blue Adventure

With over 50 million streams, Blue Lab Beats recently won a GRAMMY for their production on Angelique Kidjo’s track ‘Fired Up’Jazz FM Innovation Award. Two tracks featured in UK film Rye Lane.

Remixing tracks for A-listers such as Dua Lipa and Rag’N’Bone Man, on to supporting the likes of Roy Ayers and Thundercat, and producing on Kojey Radical’s critically-acclaimed Reason To Smile album.

Features on their music include Tiana Major9, Ghetto Boy, Ego Ella May, Kofi Stone,Pip Millet, Kojey Radical. Two sets at Glastonbury Festival this year, played at Blue Note in Tokyo, Love Supreme just outside of Tokyo, 3 shows at Jazzaladia Festival in Spain, a sold out show at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room (where they performed with 12 string players, a full band and guest vocalists), supporting Robert Glasper at Jazz A Vienne and performed at Montreux Jazz Festival and Montreal Jazz Festival

NIKITA CHAUHAN

Expertise:  Founder of TranslateNC

Nikita work managing iconic hip-hop DJ, broadcaster and author of ‘Hip Hop Raised Me’, DJ Semtex, saw him establish a recording career when she A&R’d releases with artists such as Dreamville’s Cozz, Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur, and UK breakout star BackRoad Gee. When her management enterprises expanded into West Africa, Chauhan’s skill for maximising talent while preserving an identifiable sound put her among Africa’s top-flight managers. She’s the force behind the leading Nigerian hip-hop duo Show Dem Camp, helping them develop their PalmWine Festival internationally and their first North American tour. Then there are her years managing Ghanaian super-producer GuiltyBeatz. Through a series of collaborations with Beyoncé, Tems, and Jorja Smith, and multiple Grammy nominations, GuiltyBeatz emerged as one of the continent’s most exciting talents. It’s a winning formula Chauhan distilled into her management agency TranslateNC, which has been behind global activations for acts like Pheelz, Lojay, and Michael Brun.

Digital Marketing Manager, Ministry of Sound

Mandi started her career in music at Universal Music before moving to Sony Music, where she currently uses over 10 years of marketing experience to build streaming, artist proposition, and fan communities across a diverse roster of artists. Mandi also operates as Mandu Digital, creating nuanced marketing strategies for labels and artist teams looking to develop audiences for K-Pop acts in the UK.

Laura Hand

Senior Marketing Manager

Laura has spent 8 x years working at major labels. She started off as a Marketing Intern Warner Music Group (Parlophone) and progressed to Sony Music (Ministry of Sound) where she has been working for the past three years currently as a Senior Marketing Manager.  Artists on Laura’s roster through the years have specialised in dance music but included a range of artists from Tate McRae, London Grammar, Riton, Dance System, Dom Dolla, Sigala, Regard, David Guetta, Charlotte Haining, Ashnikko and more.

Kiran Sidhu

Marketing Assistant

Hi, I’m Kiran – I’m the marketing assistant at Ministry of Sound and have been working here for 9 months now. At Ministry, I’ve worked on campaigns for Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Lil Durk, LF System, Calvin Harris, London Grammar, and Sigala. Before working at Sony Music, I had also worked at two separate Drum & Bass record labels – Low Down Deep & Hospital Records.

Louise Higgins

Digital Marketing Manager

Louise has spent 5 years at Ministry of Sound, her current position is Digital Marketing Manager. The diverse roster of artists include international superstars like Doja Cat & Lil Durk, aswell as upcoming UK based musicians such as Reuben Aziz and Charlotte Haining. Before landing her role at Ministry, Louise started off work in the entertainment industry at Jump Off TV. Here she worked at their live events, and also co-edited episodes of a BBC commissioned iPlayer show, Charlie Sloth’s Rap Up, an interview and performance-based show featuring the best UK and US rappers. Louise then moved on to Link Up TV as their social media manager working on projects in collaboration with the likes of the MOBO Awards.

Hi, I’m Liz! I am the Influencer and Creative Content Manager at Ministry of Sound and I work across the entire roster to strategize and implement the content campaigns for artists such as Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Victoria Monet, Calvin Harris and Lil Durk. I’ve worked in influencer music marketing for the past 4 years, before Sony I worked at an agency where I worked with other music labels implementing their influencer strategies.

I have worked at Sony Music for over 4 years now within the Talent Acquisition space and get involved in loads of exciting things. I recruit for lots of different types of vacancies as well as our annual internship programmes.
